The Academy Orations and Awards

Bio-medical Scientists of eminence, who have distinguished themselves in their respective areas of specialization, are selected for delivering Orations under the auspices of the Academy and for the award of Medals and Prizes as detailed below. The selections are made by the Council, taking into consideration the recommendations of the Scrutiny/Selection Committee. The Members of the Scrutiny/Selection Committee and Members of the Council are not eligible for the award of Orations in the year.

A Fellow should not nominate a biomedical Scientist for more than one Oration.
